Welcome:   

Welcome to Year 7, the final year in St. Dympna’s P.S. Dromore.  

This is an important, rewarding and fun year, where pupils develop an independence for their learning and prepare for the transition to post primary school. 

We will also prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. 

A Typical School Day in Year 7: 

9.00 a.m. School Begins 

10.30 a.m. Break  

12.35 p.m. Lunch 

3.00 p.m. School Ends. 

 What to bring to school each day: 

Homework  / Reading. 

P.E. Kit on Monday to remain in school all week. 

Water Bottle. 

Appropriate Coat for outdoors. 

Useful Information (PE, Music days etc): 

Monday – P.E. 

Tuesday 

Wednesday – P.E. 

Thursday - Music 

Friday 

(Swimming will begin in Term 3) 

Homework: 

Homework will be set each night.  

Monday & Wednesday – Literacy     Tuesday & Thursday – Spelling & Numeracy. 

Weekend Homework will be set for some pupils in Term 1. 

Reading will take place each night using AR Book / Novel on alternate nights.
