Omagh Uniform Exchange

4th Aug 2025

PRIMARY & NURSERY UNIFORMS

Let’s clear something up
The Omagh Uniform Exchange is not just for secondary schools.
If your child is in nursery or primary, we’ve got jumpers, pinafores, trousers, skirts, shirts and PE kits coming out our ears.

Mr McLaughlin from St Dympna’s in Dromore delivered what can only be described as a busload of donations.
Don’t make us call him back to collect all those lovely blue sweaters — we want to see them on kids, not back in bags at the hall!

Omagh North sent in bags upon bags — and we’re not giving them back. These uniforms deserve to be worn in classrooms, not returned in black bags at someone’s front door.

grey jumpers
They’ve officially reached the point of having their own postcode.

? The navy rail alone could kit out every school within 10 miles — and we’ve still got a corner of the room full of unopened donation bags.

We’ve got:

? Nursery and playgroup uniforms
? Uniforms for every local primary school you can name (and probably a few you’ve forgotten about)
? Shirts, skirts, shorts, trousers, pinafores, jumpers, spares — the whole lot.

And no, don’t message me asking “Do you have anything for…?”
Just come. Yes, we do.

Also, don’t stand at the door and tell me, “Someone probably needs it more than me.”
I promise you — there is enough for everyone.

We genuinely cannot store this through the year.
So if you’re coming for primary or nursery, bring a bag.
Actually, bring two.
Because you’re leaving with “a wee spare” for every day of the week that ends in “day.”

As for me, I’ve mostly been tripping over trousers and making a mess.
The Big Team Machine of volunteers has done the hard graft — steaming, tagging, sorting, lifting, and transforming a mountain of donations into an absolute treasure trove.

?? Bring bags.
?‍?? Expect a queue.
? There are works outside the hall — follow our socials for updates.

?? Tuesday 5th August
? From 5pm
? St Joseph’s Hall, Omagh

This is your community.
This is what it looks like when people help each other.
And now it’s your turn to come and get what’s waiting for you.
