Christmas Message
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Thank you for supporting our 'Christmas Jumper' day on Friday 12th December, which raised £500 for St. Davog’s SVdP. We welcomed Kathleen from our local SVdP branch to present her with our cheque yesterday morning. She thanked all our families for their donations and informed the pupils how their generosity will go towards supporting the excellent work SVdP do in helping families in our local Community.
Year 5 led our final Assembly for 2025 as they explained the importance of our December theme, ‘Commitment’. They illustrated how we can show commitment in our lives and the importance of preserving, even if we find something tough. Well done to all the Y5 pupils and staff for your thoughtful and informative presentation of our December Theme.
Sincere appreciation also for your generosity with our ‘Name the Elf’ fundraiser which raised a fantastic £838.40. There was wonderful excitement in school yesterday as his passport arrived and we found out his name, ‘Giggle Gumdrops’! Well done to Coen McDermott Y1 who was drawn from the raffle and Ava Maguire Y3 who won second prize.
At Assembly yesterday we also celebrated the magnificent achievement of our readers with AR rewards and Top 3 achievers in Freckle in each class. Congratulations to all the award winners.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout the year.
We hope that you enjoy a very Peaceful and Happy Christmas with your family and friends and every best wish for 2026.
School will reopen on Tuesday 6th January 2026 for our pupils.
Yours sincerely,
Orla Meenagh
Principal
